CFP: Joint Spring Meeting with the WCCMTA

The Pacific-Southwest Chapter of the American Musicological Society (PSC-AMS) will meet jointly with the West Coast Conference for Music Theory and Analysis (WCCMTA) at the University of California-Irvine from May 17-18, 2024. The conference will feature a keynote address by Joti Rockwell. The program committee welcomes abstracts of 250 words on any musicological topic. Completed papers should require no more than 20 minutes for full delivery, plus 5-10 minutes for questions and discussion.

Please e-mail the title and abstract of your proposed talk to Stephen Hudson (shudson@oxy.edu) by Friday, March 1. Include your name, any A/V requirements, and, if applicable, your institutional affiliation. If you are a student currently enrolled in a graduate program within the geographic boundary of our chapter area, please indicate this, as you are eligible to compete for the 2024 Ingolf Dahl Award. This award recognizes the best paper read at our spring meeting. If you’re unsure whether your institution lies within our jurisdiction, please see the map in Article II of our bylaws. You must also be a member of the chapter to compete for the Dahl. To join, use the “membership and dues” tab above.

Contact Stephen Hudson or Elizabeth Lindau (Elizabeth.Lindau@csulb.edu) with questions.
